The signing and foundation stone laying ceremony for the Koren Bean (Jining) Chemisty CO., Ltd. 240MT /year high –end carbon black project was held ceremoniously.
The signing and foundation stone laying ceremony for the joint Venture with the name of Koren Bean (Jining) Chemical CO., Ltd. between Birla Group India and Jining Carbon Group was held on Feb 11,2015. The capacity of the project is 240 thousand MT per year.
The signing ceremony was held in the meeting room on the 26th floor in the Jining Carbon Group Buliding and was hosted by Mr.Zhang Guangcai the General Manager of Jining Carbon Group.
The attendants from Birla Group including Mr. Prahat Gupta the Vice president finance, Mr. Jim N.Siegel the CBO of Columbia Chemicals Co., Mr.Ouyang Mingchun, The General Engineer of Columbia Chemicals Co., Mr. Hanchun the General Manager of Koren Bean as well as other staff of Koren Bean.
Attendants from Jining Carbon Group including party secretary of Jining Carbon Group committee Mr. GongZhen, President Mr.Li Qingyi , General Manager Mr.Zhang Guangcai, General Engering Mr. Yan Guilin. , Mr. Li Changan the President of Shandong Chenyan New Carbon Material Co.,Ltd. as well as other staff both from Group and its branch Company. At the same time, deputy head of Rencheng District, Mr. Hu Qin and Mr. Li Xiaotong as well as Mr.Chen Yuanqiang also attended the signing witness.
After signing, the foundation stone laying ceremony was held in Jibei high technology industry park where the project will be built at 10:30. The ceremony hosted by Mr.Fan Deyuan the Standing Committee Member deputy head of Rencheng District, Mr. Yue Gencai the Standing Committee Member Governor of Renchen District made speech of congratulation. Jim N.Siegel CBO from Columbia Chemicals addressed thanks. Mr. Li Qingyi the president of Jining Carbon Group addressed thanks and welcome. Subsequently all the leaders worked together to lay a foundation stone and plant a cooperated seed into the ground and hope it can blossom and fruit soon.
The total investment of Keron Bean(Jining )Chemical Co., Ltd. ,240 thousand MT/year high –end carbon black project is U$295 billion. The project will be divided into two phases, the capacity of the first phase is 120 thousand MT/year, total investment is U$165 billion, expect to complete by the end of 2016. The capacity of the second phase is 120 thousand MT/year, total investment is U$130 billion.
At the moment, the environment evaluation of this project has been approved by environmental protection department of Shandong Province. Energy consumption evaluation has been audited and approved by development and reform commission of Jining. The safety evaluation has been approved by safety supervision bureau of Jining. The preliminary procedure of the land has already been completed. Now the approvement is being handled in development and reform commission, also accept and hear a case in municipal commercial affairs bureau is being handled.
